 reports that not only does being in nature greatly enhance psychological wellbeing,  but physical diseases such as hypertension, cardiovascular health and potentially lowers risk factors leading to Diabetes type 2!

Researchers Gregory Braton, University of Washington, and Viren Swami, Professor of Psychology at the Angla Rustin University in Cambridge, UK found this to be true across 58 countries although specific reasons are yet to be determined.

Did you know that spending time in nature may support both emotional and physical well-being?

A recent Washington Post article highlighted research suggesting that regular contact with nature is associated with improved psychological well-being and may also be linked to better physical health, including factors related to blood pressure, cardiovascular health, and risk factors connected to Type 2 diabetes.

Researchers, including Gregory Bratman of the University of Washington and Viren Swami, Professor of Psychology at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, UK, found that the positive relationship between nature connection and well-being appeared across 58 countries. While researchers continue to study exactly why these benefits occur, the findings point to the importance of maintaining meaningful connections with the natural world.
